In the digital age, our lives are filled with screens, but sometimes we don’t have access to one, or our tired eyes just need a bigger screen. That’s why Meta has launched a new app. Metaquest HDMI Link The Quest 2, Quest 3, and Quest Pro headsets can connect any device with HDMI or DisplayPort and send that output to VR.
The HDMI Link app can be downloaded to your headset from the link below. Meta App Lab.
HDMI Link allows you to watch videos, check your computer, or play games on your Quest headset from any device with an HDMI or DisplayPort output. To use this feature, you’ll need a UVC and UAC compatible capture card to connect to the device you want to display to, and a USB-C male cable to connect the card to your headset.
Wireless options like Quest Air Link and Xbox Cloud Gaming are still available on the Quest headset and are a bit easier to use, but the HDMI link is nice if you’re in a location without a stable Wi-Fi connection or you want to link to devices that don’t normally work well with the Meta Quest headset.
