Russia’s top seed Diana Schnyder reached the final of the Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest on Saturday, beating Germany’s Eva Riss 6-3, 6-3.
The 20-year-old Schneider saved all three break points he faced and took advantage of four double faults from his opponent to beat Liss in one hour and 25 minutes.
Schneider will seek her third title of the year on Sunday when she faces unseeded Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus, who defeated Anna Karolina Schmidlova of Slovakia 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.
Sasnovich overcame 17 double faults to rally from a 5-2 deficit in the third set and stunned Schmiedlova in two hours, 46 minutes.

China’s top seed Zheng Qinwen reached the final in Italy after beating France’s fourth seed Diane Parry 7-5, 6-4 in the semifinals.
Zheng will face second-seeded Karolina Muchova of the Czech Republic, the defending champion, in the final.
Zheng saved three of four break points and won 84.8% of his first-serve points (28 of 33). Parry saved two of five break points and won 69.4% of his first-serve points (25 of 36).
Muchova defeated Irina-Camelia Begu of Romania 6-1, 6-1 in the semifinals after leading 4-0 in aces against Begu, the 2022 champion.
