The newly streamlined Women’s Big Bash League returns on Sunday with live streaming sky sports, With many English players taking part, Adelaide Strikers are aiming for their third consecutive title.
What is the format?
This year’s tournament will feature 43 games, up from 59 last season, and a total of 10 group games, with eight teams playing against four teams once and three teams twice.
The top four teams then advance to the knockout stage. The top teams will advance directly to the finals on December 1st where they will face three other teams.
The third and fourth place teams will meet in a knockout match on November 27th, with the winner advancing to the Challenger and facing the second place team, with the loser being eliminated.
The winner of the challenger will qualify for the finals.
