Our MoveOn members are coming together across the country to fight for democracy, protect abortion rights at the polls, oppose MAGA attacks on the LGBTQ+ community, and so much more. You can too.

What is an electoral party?
An election party is when a group of people get together to make phone calls to voters, write postcards to voters, and campaign in battleground states.
MoveOn members can host or attend parties in their local area or virtually. Parties can be held at someone’s house, a coffee shop, a park, etc. It’s just a gathering of people coming together to spread the word about voting.
Organizers will receive all the items they need to host their event, as well as training on how to run a phone bank, postcard party or door-to-door canvassing, and resources to help participants personalize their messages to voters.
Kathie, a MoveOn member who has been involved in various capacities over the years, emphasises the importance of getting involved.
“This year felt different. Especially after the riots on January 6th, it seemed inconceivable to me that Donald Trump could win the presidential election. So I wanted to get involved in defeating Trump one last time.”
MoveOn members will be gathering at parties across the country to fight for abortion, healthcare, climate, democracy and economic justice.

MoveOn provides you with all the information you need to become a professional canvasser: where to meet, what to say, how to collect voter data, etc. After a short training session, you and your fellow canvassers go out and meet and influence voters.
MoveOn member Jamie says she feels the need to get out and campaign: “Democracy is on the ballot and we must vote.”
