Tyreek Hill The Dolphins’ best player was taken to the ground and handcuffed just hours before kickoff in Miami on Sunday, but it appears he’s scheduled to play.
Video circulating on social media shows several police officers confronting the 30-year-old man just feet from Hard Rock Stadium, where the Fins are scheduled to play the Jaguars at 10 a.m. PST.
Check out the video… Hill is thrown face-first to the ground, while officials appear to be yelling at him.
It is not immediately clear what exactly Hill is alleged to have done, but the team said in a statement shortly after the incident that “Hill was involved in a traffic accident approximately one block from the stadium, was stopped by police and detained briefly before being released.”
“Several teammates witnessed the accident and stopped to offer their support. Tyreek and all other players involved have arrived at the stadium safely and are expected to play in today’s game.”
Hill is actually scheduled to be on the Miami field within the next few minutes to begin preparations for the game against Jacksonville.
