Grease Monkey Games announced today the release of update 10 for their early access racing title Torque Drift 2. The new update adds several new gameplay features, including new cars, new tracks, and tweaked performance parts for customizable vehicles. As of the update, Torque Drift 2, available on PC via the Epic Games Store, has racked up nearly 400,000 downloads.
Update 10 adds the Toyota AE86 (featured in the anime Initial D) and Mazda RX3, as well as vehicles from Japan’s Daikoku Course and Pro Drift Cars, and the Pro Car Bundle. The update also brings back the original Torque Drift’s Lead and Chase challenge, in which players compete for the highest score, after which other players attempt to beat the player with the highest score. Other new features in Update 10 include a scheduler that allows players to track events, and new customization options with tuning performance parts.
Alan Potter, CEO of Grease Monkey Games, said in a statement: “Update 10 delivers the best drifting experience to the world. New Lead and Chase challenges and the addition of the iconic Daikoku course deliver even more realistic and authentic racing environments, while giving gamers new ways to drive and customise their cars. Our mission is to deliver the most authentic and engaging drifting experience possible.”
Animoca Brands acquired Grease Monkey Games along with the Torque franchise in 2022. Torque Drift 2 is part of the Motorverse and uses REVV tokens for premium purchases. Players can earn REVV in-game by participating in competitions and can wager their earned REVV on the Motorverse Hub for in-game rewards.
