The Tennessee Titans placed veteran cornerback Chidobe Awuzie on injured reserve Friday with a groin injury.
Awuzie was injured in last week’s 30-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
Awzi will miss at least four games. The earliest he can return is Nov. 3 against the New England Patriots.
The 29-year-old Aussie has made four tackles in three starts this season. Overall, he has 373 stops and six interceptions in 89 games (77 starts) with the Dallas Cowboys (2017-20), Cincinnati Bengals (2021-23) and Titans.
Tennessee signed linebacker Luke Gifford from the practice squad to fill a spot on the roster. Gifford has two tackles in three games this season.
Gifford, 29, has 48 total tackles and one forced fumble in 60 games (one start) with the Cowboys (2019-22) and Titans.
Tennessee (0-3) visits the Miami Dolphins on Monday night.
