Another series that was meant to last longer than half a season was Journeyman The story is about Dan Vasser, a man who realizes he can travel through time to right the wrongs of the past. He later learns that he is not alone, that there are other time travelers, including his supposedly dead fiancée, Livia, who is also traveling through time (starting from 1948). A sci-fi comic book series could be a good fit for the show’s mystery and story climax, as we know from an interview with creator Kevin Falls.
Falls explained that he knew the ending of the series would involve everyone Dan saved in some way, perhaps as part of an elaborate Rube Goldberg scenario explaining why he was sent to help these particular people and why he was sent on this journey in the first place. A sci-fi comic book series would be able to send Dan on more elaborate time-traveling adventures without the budgetary constraints of a live-action network, ultimately allowing for a much more elaborate and complicated ending.
But what we most want to know is why there are multiple time travelers, why some travel in different directions, and what earth-shattering scenario could necessitate time travel? Like most other shows, Journeyman Even in a perfect world, the story might never have ended.
