Updated: September 16, 2024, 1:00 AM EDT This story has been updated with updates on Prime Big Deal Days 2024, which was officially announced in October.
We can’t believe it either. Another Prime Day is coming. As we’ve seen in years past, Amazon is bringing back its October sales event, Prime Big Deal Days, which is essentially another Prime Day. This one comes just three months after July’s Prime Day, which offered some pretty impressive deals but, frankly, didn’t wow us.
That being said, we’re excited to see what the new event will bring. Amazon has announced that it will be running its Prime Big Deal Days from October 8 to October 9 this year. We’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for the best pre-event deals in the meantime, because even if there isn’t a big sales event, there are always live deals to choose from.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
In August, Amazon Prime Big Deal Day Prime Day is set to be in October, and a major retailer just confirmed our prediction that the 2024 October Prime Day will fall on October 8th and October 9th. The event will run for a full 48 hours, with early sales already underway.
What bargains will you find this year?
If you’re familiar with Prime Day, you know what to expect: two days of deep discounts on just about every product you can think of, including headphones, tablets, laptops, and robot vacuums. While the sales event may feature a lot of third-party junk brands that you should avoid, it also features a ton of products from your favorite retailers, including Apple, Beats, and Eufy.
Best Apple Deals
Why we like it
The 9th generation iPad has dropped to the amazing price of $199, which is the lowest price not only for this iPad but for any iPad ever made. It’s not the latest generation, but it’s the most affordable.
The tablet is equipped with the A13 chip, a powerful processor that allows you to stream, browse the internet, and even play games. Normally priced at $329, it’s available for a bargain price of $199, a saving of $130, or 40% off. This price has been fluctuating for a few weeks, but there’s no guarantee it will last until Prime Big Deal Day.
Best Amazon Echo deals
Why we like it
More than just a speaker, the Amazon Echo Show 8 acts as a smart home hub. Its 4″ x 8″ screen can display music, recipes, and even video calls with the built-in camera. Plus, if you want to stream your favorite Prime Video content while you cook, you can with the Echo Show’s HD display.
Right now, the Amazon Echo Show 8 has been reduced to $104.99, giving you 30% off, saving you $45 before the Prime Day dates are officially announced.

Why we like it
There are a lot of great headphones out there, and we’ve tested a lot of them. But when you’re looking for something specific, like headphones for working out, you need to pay attention to the details. Beats Fit Pro are perfect for working out, with easy touch controls for pausing music and ending calls. Plus, they fit securely, so they’ll stay in your ears from start to finish.
These are great earbuds — Mashable’s Alex Perry even calls them better than the AirPods — and you can get them right now for just $159, which makes them cheaper than the AirPods Pro with the same features. That’s 20% off, saving you $40.95.

Best TV and streaming deals
Why we like it
Is the Amazon Fire Stick 4K the best streamer we’ve ever tested? No, Roku is the best. But it works well, and the $30 price tag ahead of Prime Day is a steal. We tested the Amazon Fire Stick TV and found it easy to set up, simply plugging it into the HDMI port on the back of your TV.
The home screen is a bit clunky, slow, and full of ads and promotions for Prime Video content, but it’s a dream come true for anyone who primarily streams on the site. It’s currently priced at $29.99, saving you $20 and making it 40% off.
Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner
Why we like it
Back in July, Mashable’s Leah Stodart wrote about the Eufy X10 Pro Omni robot vacuum, which she called her favorite robot of Prime Day. While Roomba is the most popular robot vacuum, Eufy is a strong contender, especially with its dual-purpose vacuum and mop, the X10 Pro Omni.
Stoddart points out that unlike the iRobot Roomba j9+, the X10 Pro Omni automatically cleans and dries the mop pad, so you can be sure your floors are thoroughly cleaned and clean. Ahead of Prime Day, the price has dropped to $679.99, saving you $120 with 15% off.
