Best and his teammates, Nick Mead, Michael Grady and Liam Corriganwon Team USA’s first gold medal in 64 years in the men’s four race on Thursday, August 1. To get pumped for the event, Best revealed that he listened to Kelsey’s 2018 Super Bowl 55 parade speech.
“I saw it the other day,” Best said in a video interview after the race. Via X On Thursday. “I had my girlfriend on my shoulders while he was giving his speech and I was just like, ‘I’m so excited.’ So, after all these years, I bring that mentality with me. I wish there was a dog mask and I’d put it on. Go Birds!”
