Although many in the Republican Party and conservative movement are certainly skeptical about the safety, effectiveness, and social impact of allowing transgender surgeries, President Trump will outlaw surgeries and associated drug use for people over 18. The possibility has never even surfaced.
The most important part of President Trump’s platform on transgender people is his staunch opposition to gender reassignment surgeries on minors, many of which lead to irreversible damage to the human body and other devastating consequences.
He also promised to ban increased participation of biological males in women’s sports, a practice that has become far more widespread since the Biden administration took office four years ago.
