Mila Andreeva comes into the Olympics having won her first WTA Tour title, winning the Iasi Open in Romania.
The 17-year-old won after fellow Russian Elina Avanesyan retired in the third set just before midnight.
Andreeva lost just four points in the deciding match, leading 5-7, 7-5, 4-0 at the time.
She will play in her opening singles match at the Paris tournament on Sunday, facing Poland’s Magda Linette.
Linett also qualified for the Olympics after winning the Prague Open final, beating compatriot Magdalena Flech 6-2, 6-1.
Andreeva reached the semifinals at this year’s French Open and reached the fourth round at Wimbledon in 2023 as a 16-year-old.
By winning the Iasi Open at 17 years and 90 days, she became the youngest woman to win a tour-level singles title since Coco Gauff, who won in Parma in 2021 at 20 days younger.
