It’s no exaggeration to say that strong performances during training camp season have changed the lives of many top players across the country. Here are five Midwestern prospects whose stocks skyrocketed in June.
Rumors swirl: As summer approaches its midpoint, important decisions must be made
Keyes’ recruiting has picked up in recent months, and he has offers from a number of big-name companies, but the Saline (Michigan) High School standout currently has a few programs over his head.
Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State University All delivered and made a strong impression, but be careful Notre DameThe Irish have yet to offer, but his former teammate, CJ Carr, signed with them in the class of 2024. In-state Michigan has also yet to offer, but that will be interesting to watch.

There may be no more unique recruiting story in the Midwest right now than Mueller. The star player at St. Francis High School in Wheaton, Illinois, has yet to play high school football, but he is racking up offers from the Power Four. His most recent offers include: FloridaWisconsin, Illinois.
Mueller showed flashes of pass-catching ability and athleticism in camp, and the coaching staff is excited to see what he can become. It will be fun to follow him this fall.

Tabron really showed up after the camp I attended in Detroit this summer. He may have been the youngest 2028 prospect in the camp, but he was impressive. At 6’3 and 175 pounds, he threw the ball well and with good accuracy.
After that event, he attended a few team camps and the offers started rolling in. Michigan, Michigan State University and Pennsylvania State University These are some of the latest offers for him. Tabron is on his way to becoming a national prospect.

There was a time in June when Taylor was receiving Power Four offers on a daily basis. I had a chance to watch the Mundelein (Illinois) Carmel Catholic point guard a couple of times this summer and he was impressive. Taylor has good footwork, a strong arm and can throw well on the run. His size will continue to grow and he should be a very impressive prospect.
Ole MissOhio State University, Oklahoma Many other teams had offers on him in June, and Taylor looks to be one of the best quarterbacks available in the 2027 class.

Witherspoon, a 2026 defensive back, emerged as a big-time prospect this summer after several strong showings at team camps, including one at Ohio State where Witherspoon held his own against elite wide receivers, earning him an offer from the Buckeyes.
It will be tough to beat out the in-state Buckeyes for him to commit, but rival Michigan has also offered him and he has visited the campus several times.
