In celebration of Space.com’s 25th anniversary, we’ll explore the future of human spaceflight in a live virtual panel, “The Next 25 Years of Space Exploration – To the Moon, Mars and Beyond.” July 17th, 12pm EDT On this page You can also find it on the Space.com homepage.
Moderated by Tariq Malik, who was editor-in-chief of Space.com for 23 years, the panelists will discuss the major advances made so far in the areas of exoplanet research, the search for life, human spaceflight and astronomical discovery, and how major new observatories, new spacecraft and technological advances may lead to even more advances.
The panelists were:
- doctor Sarah Segeran astrophysicist and professor of planetary science, physics, and aeronautics and astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge).
- doctor John MulchayDirector of the Carnegie Observatories, who oversees the Giant Magellan Telescope.
- doctor Tom MarshburnHe is the chief medical officer for Sierra Space and a former NASA astronaut and three-time space captain.
