The second film in the Die Hard series. Die Hard 2 The story begins on Christmas Eve, two years after the first film, with John this time meeting up with his wife Holly (hello? Christmas!) at the airport in Washington, D.C. Sadly, her plane is hijacked by ex-Special Forces operatives and, of course, John is the only one who can save her.
This film isn’t as good as its predecessor: the story seems a bit disjointed, it takes over two hours to resolve the conflict, there’s not enough to keep you watching until the end, and the villain isn’t very memorable.
Now, the third, fourth and fifth installments of this series Die Hard The franchise has nothing to do with Christmas. But the third Die Hardhas been worth watching every year since the first two films for star power alone.
Willis is back, of course, as McClane, this time unemployed, divorced and an alcoholic in New York with a new bad guy tugging at his chains, played by the fantastic Jeremy Irons. And who helps him? Samuel Jackson!
