Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) made clear what President Trump’s return to the White House means for women and families.
Transcript from ABC’s This Week:
RADDATZ: Tomorrow marks the second anniversary of the Dobbs decision. Since then, 21 states have banned or restricted abortion earlier in pregnancy than the standards established by Roe.
Would this really change if Joe Biden is re-elected?
Warren: Yes, it changes.
We need three things: we need access to abortion, we need access to contraception, and we need access to IVF.
Republicans have blocked all three of these things. They have come up with a plan to not allow women to have or have access to all three of these things.
Democrats are all for it. With the House, the Senate and the White House, we can make Roe v. Wade the law of the land again. And with Joe Biden as president instead of Donald Trump, we will protect women as much as is humanly possible.
Understand this: I want to say this as clearly as I can: If Donald Trump is elected president, he and radical Republicans will be pushing for abortion, contraception and IVF in every state in this country, not just Republican states.

Senator Warren was right. The Democrats are all in favor of it, and with full control of the federal government they would make Roe the law of the land while protecting contraception and IVF. It’s clear what the Democrats will do if they win. It’s clear what Trump will do if he gets back in the White House.
Democrats are expected to continue to reiterate this message, not only because it resonates with women voters but also because it is so important to younger voters.
The far right wants to ban abortion, contraception and IVF, and the more voters understand that, the better it will be for Democrats in November’s elections.
