Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence The two have a longstanding friendship and working relationship, and may even become future in-laws.
Eddie recently A conversation with Gayle King CBS Morning, And he The romance between her son Eric and Lawrence’s daughter Jasmine.
“We were just like, ‘This is so cool,'” Eddie said of his and Lawrence’s reaction to Eric and Jasmine’s public relationship in June 2021. “They’re both beautiful. They’re amazing together.”
“That’s interesting, guys. [asks]”You might think, ‘Is she going to be funny?’ But I think our gene pool is going to produce some funny kids,” he joked. “And if they get married and have kids, I’m hopeful they’ll be funny, too.”
Eric, 34, and Jasmine, 28, have been public about their relationship since the beginning of their relationship, with Jasmine even taking to Instagram to celebrate her boyfriend’s birthday in 2021.
“Happy Birthday, my love! So blessed to know you, love you and have you by my side,” Jasmine captioned two photos of herself and Eric. “More happiness, laughter and beautiful memories to come! I love you so much!!”
The post comes shortly after Eric expressed his affection on Instagram, writing, “I’m crazy about you.”
Eddie is father to 10 children in total: Eric, with former partner Paulette McNeely, and Christian, 33, with ex-wife Tamara Hood. He also has five children with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell: Bria, 34, Myles, 31, Shayne, 29, Zola, 24, and Bella, 22. Eddie also has a 17-year-old daughter, Angel, with ex-girlfriend Mel B.
In addition, Eddie and His fiancée, Paige ButcherShe has two children, daughter Izzy, 8, and son Max, 5.
Jasmine is Martin’s first daughter with ex-wife Patricia Southall, while Martin also has two daughters, Iyanna, 23, and Amara, 21, with ex-wife Shamika Gibbs.
Eddie He spoke with ET recently at the premiere. of Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.and spoke about Eric and Jasmine’s romance and who would foot the bill for their wedding if they did end up getting hitched. Eddie told ET that part shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
“Well, the convention is that the father pays for his daughter’s expenses, right? That’s how it is,” he said, shifting the financial responsibility onto Martin’s shoulders. “It shouldn’t be a problem, right?” Bad Boys is out of the park and Martin is super rich so he should be able to play at a lavish wedding.”
