When Kamala Harris finally conceded after Donald Trump’s decisive victory, she defiantly said: declared “I will concede this election, but I will not concede the fight that fueled this campaign…It is a fight I will never give up.”
what is she talking about? Harris’ campaign focused on just two topics: that Donald Trump is a dangerous fascist who is free and unstable, and that free abortion is a good thing. She spoke fluently and enthusiastically about these concerns. But what else incited the fight?
When Harris ran for president in 2019, she energetically supported decriminalization Remove illegal aliens, oppose fracking, offshore drilling, fossil fuels, denounce border walls, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), deportationAnd put more police officers on the streets. She supported compulsory purchase of assault weapons. opposed Death penalty for police killers promotion A bail fund that supported the release of violent prisoners and advocated for: free health insurancee, including gender reassignment surgery for illegal alien detainees, and abolish Filibuster to pass the Green New Deal.
She barely mentioned this during the campaign.

Throughout her career and as vice president, she was a strong supporter of DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), reparations, and transgender rights (see) here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here), and Radical Measures to stop the sale of gasoline-powered cars and efficient home appliances.
But she made little mention of these core concerns during the campaign.
Instead, she pretended More often, they changed their positions, or even deflected or refused to discuss their positions. She clings to her pseudo-middle-class upbringing in California, her lawn, Trump being bad and abortion being good, and she “turns the page” and “doesn’t go back.” She often added versions of all sides of herself bromide “Israel has the right to defend itself, and how we do it matters,” he said, blaming corrupt companies for inflation and proposing price controls and a child tax credit.
In post-mortems, many progressive commentators blamed Harris’ defeat on a misogynistic and racist electorate, with some saying it took a long time for Joe Biden to step down. Some people have criticized it for being too expensive. MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Al Sharpton blamed Racism and misogyny among Hispanic and black men. Even though Barack Obama and other Democrats tried to intimidate minority men into voting for Harris. because she’s a woman, trump won 55% of Hispanic men and 21% of black men, both more than Republicans. 50 years.
Progressives, including MSNBC’s Joy Reid and Alex Wagner, accused Harris of wrongdoing. perfectcampaign. Reed’s evidence Rapper Queen Latifah has endorsed Harris. Wagner blamed Harris’ defeat on her being a “mixed-race woman.”
A minority of Democrats acknowledge that progressives pushed them to extreme positions, but there have been calls to mount a resistance movement against Mr. Trump and vitriol against voters and Democrats who challenge their progressive tenets. being drowned out by the attack. Vox’s Andrew Propkop has a great analysis. observed Harris’ only previous run against a legitimate Republican opponent was in her first run for California attorney general, which she narrowly won. He acknowledged that Harris’ campaign was cautious and defensive, and that her track record didn’t help.
Trump not only won the electoral vote by a landslide, but appears to have won the popular vote as well. He won more votes and performed better than Biden in 2020 among nearly every demographic group, measured by age, gender, religion and ethnicity.

America remains a center-right country. Fox’s exit public opinion poll 47% think Harris has the right policy ideas, compared to 52% for Trump. 45% of those who voted for Harris said they would vote for Harris rather than against Trump, and 54% of those who voted for Trump said they would vote for Harris. 70% think the country is heading in the wrong direction, and 83% want significant change. Fifty-one percent approve of the way Trump has handled his job as president, but only 43% approve of Biden.
Only 37% of voters are “very concerned” about climate change. Americans don’t want DEI (see here, here, hereand here). 77% of voters are concerned about crime. Even in liberal California, more than 70% voted in favor of repealing a law that decriminalizes theft of less than $950. Far-left Los Angeles and Oakland have expelled Soros-backed district attorneys. Harris, who lives in Los Angeles, California, declined to reveal her vote.
According to the Fox poll, two-thirds of voters support reducing the number of immigrants allowed to apply for asylum, and 44% support deporting undocumented immigrants. 54% think transgender rights have gone too far, and 47% oppose gender-affirming care for minors.
Last week, far-left transgender advocate Jay Michaelson threatened: leave On CNN, conservative Sharmichael Singleton referred to biological male transsexuals as boys. Showing that the disconnect continues, host Abby Phillips asked Singleton to stop berating Michaelson. Progressives still do not accept that most of the 99% of Americans who are not transgender either do not want to pretend to be delusional or are prevented from doing so by their religious beliefs.
Harris said her values have not changed. Most Democrats have made it clear in their responses that their views have not changed either. It’s unclear how they expect their situation to improve if they continue to vilify Americans as trash, deplorables, misogynists, and racists. That’s fine.
