Sen. Bernie Sanders may be an independent, but he fully endorsed the Democratic Party at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday.
He delivered an impassioned speech detailing what President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and a Democratic Congress have done for Americans suffering in the demise of Donald Trump’s administration.
“The American Rescue Plan provided $1,400 to every working-class man, woman and child. It extended and expanded benefits for those unemployed,” he said. “It provided emergency aid to small businesses so they could stay open. And it guaranteed health insurance to tens of millions of Americans with the largest Medicaid expansion in history.”
“We provided rent relief and mortgage assistance, renters and homeowners avoided eviction,” he continued. “We launched emergency food programs for hungry children and seniors, and prevented millions of workers and retirees from having their pensions cut by up to 65 percent.”

“Thank you, President Biden. Thank you, Vice President Harris. Thank you, Democratic Congress.”
