Anupama Today Written Update (12th August 2024) –
Toshu’s Questions and Minu’s Visit
Toshu reveals to Vanraj that she already had suspicions about Meenu as he used to come to Asha Bhavan often. Pakhi sarcastically says that Meenu only chooses poor men in the world. Baa is shocked to hear it. Dimpy comes with a video of Sagar and Meenu but Titu tries to stop her. Pakhi reveals that her father has already seen the video.
Kinjal asks what happened and Toshu tells her not to defend Meenu, implying that she is not innocent. Pakhi supports this but Kinjal insists that it may be a misunderstanding. Baa sits confused, wondering what to say to Dolly and Sanjay. Pakhi adds that they don’t know what Meenu does when she is alone.
Vanraj’s fantasy showdown
Vanraj sees Meenu coming and imagines him telling her that freedom does not suit her and accuses her of betraying his trust by visiting Asha Bhavan. He threatens to restrict her movements and says that she will not meet Sagar or leave the house unsupervised. In his imagination, Meenu defends Sagar and says that he loves him and is a good person. Vanraj is then brought out of his thoughts and walks out angrily.
Meenu’s fears at the ashram
Despite being a psychiatrist, Meenu gets scared and changes her clothes at the ashram. Anupama consoles her, saying she understands how she feels. Meanwhile, Bala tends to Sagar’s injuries and asks him why he fought so many goons. Sagar replies that it was to protect the girl’s honour. Anupama helps Meenu by stitching the sleeves of her dress and urges him to do so before getting changed and speaking to Vanraj.
Vanraj’s disappointment and Meenu’s plea
Vanraj and Toshu see Meenu coming out of the ashram with the others. Kinjal and Titu try to reassure Baa, who is worried that Dolly and Sanjay Kumar will disassociate themselves from them. Baa worries that it will be four times harder to look after someone else’s daughter. Kinjal warns her to calm down for Baa’s health, but Baa feels that they have been in constant trouble ever since they arrived.
Vanraj notices Meenu upset and asks what happened but Meenu assures him that she is fine. However, she soon breaks down in tears and tells him everything, explaining that Sagar had saved her and that she went to Mami’s because she always remembers her when she is in trouble. Vanraj decides to call Dolly and says that he will send her back as Meenu will not listen to him. Meenu cries and pleads Vanraj not to send her back and explains everything to her mother over the phone.
Anupama and Nandita are worried.
As Anupama and Nandita pack lunches, they talk about Indra not responding to their calls or messages. Nandita mentions that she only has four lunch orders and Anupama suggests that they take canteen orders from the college.
Vanraj’s expectations of Meenu
Vanraj stops Meenu from touching his feet and says that she is not just a niece, she is like a daughter to him. He recalls when Meenu was born, he placed her foot on his forehead and received blessings. Vanraj admits that he has no hopes for Toshu and Pakhi, but has high expectations for her. He says that Toshu and Pakhi do not listen to him, but they will listen to him.
Meenu’s dilemma and Sagar’s decision
Sagar puts on his uniform and thinks of Meenu but decides not to think of her as the two are not compatible. Vanraj warns Meenu that dating Sagar will tarnish his reputation in society and asks him to break up with him. Meenu agrees to abide by Vanraj’s wishes.
After Vanraj leaves, Toshu and Pakhi also warn her and Baa tells her not to bring shame to her family. Meenu feels the burden of expectations and wonders why there are conditions in a relationship and hugs Kinjal while crying. She expresses her deep bond with Mami and considers Sagar a good friend. Meanwhile, Bala tells Anupama that someone saved Anuj from an electric shock and asks her to look for Aadhya to keep him safe.
Pre-cap: Anupama asks Yashdeep to check the foster parents’ history with the Child Welfare Committee, suddenly someone snatches Aadhya’s mobile phone, scaring Aadhya.
