Longtime withholding tax victim Robert De Niro appeared at a Biden campaign press conference outside the New York courthouse where closing arguments were taking place in Donald Trump’s hush money lawsuit, and made the delusional claim that “the United States government will disappear from the face of the earth” if the former president is re-elected.
“I mean, this is really… even people here,” the far-left actor said outside a Manhattan courthouse, pausing to add, “This is kind of crazy. It’s really crazy and this… Donald Trump created this.”
“He should tell them not to do that,” De Niro continued, referring to the crowds that gathered in support of the former president, “but he just wants to sell … total chaos, and in some areas and places, he’s been successful at it.”
After talking about how much he loves New York, the controversial actor alluded to Trump being a terrorist, declaring, “We vowed to not let terrorists change our way of life, and that’s why we started the TriBeCa Festival to bring people back.”
“I love this city. I don’t want to destroy it,” he continued, before asserting, “Donald Trump wants to destroy not only this city, but the country, and ultimately maybe the world. I owe this city a lot, so it’s very strange to have Donald Trump across the street from me, because he doesn’t belong in my city.”
De Niro continued: “We New Yorkers put up with him when he was just a sleazy real estate guy disguised as a big shot. A second-rate playboy who lied to the tabloids and pretended to be his own spokesman, his own spokesperson.”
“He called himself a clown to fool the press and inflate his wealth. But this city is pretty accepting. There’s room for clowns. There are clowns everywhere,” said the insufferable actor, appearing completely unaware of the sarcasm.
He went on to declare that “Across the country, people who didn’t know him as well as we did started supporting him. They believed his nonsense. Trump bought their votes with outrageous lies and empty promises. He got the most devout evangelicals to praise a sinner who bragged about sexual assault.”
“Somehow he got self-proclaimed patriots to support a man who was calling for the abolition of the Constitution,” De Niro claimed, misrepresenting the former president. Suggests that “repeal” of the Constitution might be permissible He responded to news that Democrats conspired with Twitter to cover up stories about Hunter Biden’s laptop.
Furthermore, without providing any empirical evidence, Allegations already deniedDe Niro added: “And on January 6th, they rallied an angry mob to undermine our democracy, leaving death and destruction in their wake.”
“That’s why I needed and wanted to get involved with the new Biden-Harris ad,” he asserted, adding, “Because it shows Trump’s violence and reminds us that he will use violence against anyone who gets in the way of his delusions of grandeur and greed.”
He then offered encouragement: “Thanks to Trump, we’ve got a second chance. And now, nobody’s laughing. It’s time to remove and stop him once and for all. We don’t want to wake up after the election and say, ‘Again? My God, what have we done?’ That must never happen again.”
“Yesterday was Memorial Day. It’s a good time to reflect on how Americans fought and died to enjoy the freedoms guaranteed by a Democratic government — a government that, as President Lincoln said, ‘of the people, by the people, for the people; shall not perish from the earth.'”
He then baselessly warned: “Under Trump, this type of government will disappear from the face of the earth. With Trump back in the White House, we will say goodbye to these freedoms that we take for granted. And the election? Forget it. It’s over. It’s over.”
“If he becomes president, I can tell you right now that he’s never going to leave. He’s never going to leave. You know? He’s never going to leave,” De Niro reiterated. “What does that mean? Is that the country we want to live in? Do we want him to run this country? And say, ‘I’m not going to leave. I’m a dictator for life?'”
