“Hours later, I was handcuffed by police in MY fav place, and involuntarily detained in a facility that looked more like a prison than a hospital,” she continued. “No clock. No phone. No sunlight.”
While the professional life coach did not name the person who had her detained, she clarified it was not her dad or ex, but rather a “so-called friend.”
“They tried to medicate me—lithium, Seroquel, Xanax,” she recalled of her hospital stay. “I ‘politely’ declined. I meditated. I breathed. I did the very things I’ve spent years teaching others to do.”
Following her psychiatric hold, Kelley also alleged she was having trouble getting in touch with her family.
“Can’t get a hold of the fam!” Kelley wrote in another June 23 Instagram post. “They sound like they’re having a great time on their vacation in Cape Cod? It must be nice to go on a vacation instead of a involuntary hold and your rights taken away from you. But hey, I’m feeling pretty great!”
For Scott’s part, he has maintained a low profile since confirming he had filed for divorce from Kelley on June 10, telling People in a statement, “Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter.”
